Boden Facilities Management and Boden Fire and Security achieve CHAS certification

Multi-trade building services company Boden Group has demonstrated its compliance with the latest Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) with its recent certification to premium level. This encompasses evaluation of several business functions including health & safety, financial & business standing, environmental, quality management, equal opportunities and diversity.

CHAS was a key developer of the core criteria held in the Approved Code of Practice which supported the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (now recognised as CDM 2015) and is a founder member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). As the leader in third party accreditations, CHAS carries out assessments of safety policy, procedures and records to improve health and safety standards across the UK. If up to standard, businesses are awarded full accreditation and the opportunity to display the CHAS logo for customer recognition.

The approval process includes an on-site audit delivered by highly experienced Health and Safety auditors, demonstrating your compliance with a wide range of current legislation in regards to policy, procedures and arrangements. Key areas of focus for the assessment include training and how the teams work on client sites and the associated controls and disciplines. Retaining the accreditation involves annual assessments to prove continued high levels of health and safety management.
