Boden Group sponsored North Devon Hospice Men's Rugby Ramble

At the weekend Boden Group sponsored North Devon Hospice  Men’s Rugby Ramble, supporting men who want to make a difference, while enjoying a walk with mates, a few beers and some great rugby.

A team from Boden Group also joined the scenic 5-mile circular walk from Barnstaple Rugby Club, stopping at a couple of beer stop then heading back to watch the England v Ireland Six Nations game, of which England won!

Bringing together the men of North Devon, over 400 locals walked in solidarity with guys in our community who need support. The best bit of taking part was supporting other men who are currently being cared for by North Devon Hospice. Helping men who are facing the loss of a loved one. Helping men who are facing the end of their life to make sure they are comfortable, free of pain and surrounded by their family and community.

The Boden Team enjoyed the walk alongside a great crowd of people and fantastic atmosphere, they have all said they will be signing up to do the same next year! Shaun Herbert the Fire & Security Manager said, “It was great to see so many familiar faces all come together to enjoy a great day out and more importantly raise funds for the amazing charity that is North Devon Hospice.”

Phil Tranter Sharpe, Business Development added: “The beer and the pasty were great for refreshments and then to be given a nice hot curry at the end really made it a nice day out.”
